Santosh K. Yadav, Ph.D. (2013-2014)

Santosh Yadav, Ph.D., worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Kumar’s lab from 2013-2014 after earning his Ph.D. Dr. Yadav now works as a Research Scientist in Translational Medicine at the Sidra Medical and Research Center in Doha, Qatar.

 

Sudhakar Tummala, Ph.D. (2014-2016)

Sudhakar Tummala, Ph.D., worked as a Postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Kumar’s lab from 2014- 2016. He came to UCLA after earning his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark. While working under Dr. Kumar, Dr. Tummala mainly focused on the quantification of neuronal degeneration from structural, diffusion and magnetization transfer imaging modalities for obstructive sleep apnea and heart failure. He now works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SRM University at AP, Amaravati.

 

Bumhee Park, Ph.D. (2014-2016)

Bumhee Park, Ph.D., worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow alongside Dr. Tummala from 2014-2016. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the Yonsei University College of Medicine in South Korea in 2012. His dissertation was titled “Statistical modeling of human brain connectome using fMRI”. Under Dr. Kumar, he continued his research using fMRI to investigate brain structure and function in subjects with obstructive sleep apnea as well as subjects with heart failure. Dr. Park now works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea.

 

Madeline Townsley, B.S. (2016-2018)

Madeline Townsley was a research associate in Dr. Kumar’s lab. She came to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California and earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the institution in 2016. Madeline participated in research throughout high school and college and joined Dr. Kumar’s lab shortly after graduating. She is now pursuing a law degree at Washington University. 

 

Sadhana Singh, Ph.D. (2016-2018)

Dr. Singh worked as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Dr. Rajesh Kumar & Dr. Nancy Pike, conducting research on functional and structural brain changes in patients with single ventricle congenital heart disease. Dr. Singh graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics from NMR Research Centre, Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Delhi and Department of Physics, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore on the topic entitled “Assessment of metabolic and cognitive impairments in endocrine and neuro-developmental disorders using multi-parametric MRI techniques” in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Physics degrees from RDVV, Jabalpur, India.
